This is a beautiful Lake very picturesque. Plenty of room to barbecue with tables and grills usable. The concession stand needs a little bit of work especially with a vegetarian options. But overall a very nice day
Visited in September and found that entrance was free and the lifeguards were all gone. Been going here since I was a little kid. I enjoy the updates to the facilities including the two playgrounds. It's a nice, quick getaway for an afternoon in the sun, water and sand with my family.
Clean, peaceful, free admission for seniors, age 62+, on weekdays! Weekdays not usually crowded. The few people there leave at 4-5 p.m., and you have the little beach and park to yourself. They also have boat rentals!
They keep this park tidy for the most part. Its a great getaway. My only issue is when it comes time to pay to get in, there always seems to be an issue with who they let go. I've been here times where the gatekeeper would let us go for 'having a nice car' or 'a cute group'. As awesome as it is, its also not a fair way to treat other. They are raking in money from the over price food stand, might as well cut the cost of entry and charge every car appropriately.
This place of recreation is awesome! Swimming, canoeing, hiking, fishing, store with food and picnic needs, hibachi, picnic tables, pavilions, everything you need and the scenery is spectacular! Oh and life guards, boat rentals too!
